Dr. Guangzhi Hu
My research started by Master studies at Anhui Normal University in China in 2004 with Professor Zhousheng Yang as supervisor. We combined self-assembly method and nanotechnology together with chemically modified electrode surface for small bio- and environmental molecule detection for improved sensitivity and selectivity.
After that, I continued my studies under the supervision of Prof. Shijun Shao in Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). We investigated some carbon-based nanocomposite with novel properties for the monitoring of drug and biomolecules. My Ph.D studies and other works make me be honored as CAS Presidential Scholarship and ZhuLiYueHua Scholarship for Excellent Doctoral Students (both top 5%). After my Ph.D (2010), I started the post doc studies under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Wågberg at Physics department, in Umea University, Sweden and I am fully supported by several research foundations such as Wenner-Gren and Knut-Alice-Wallenberg scholarships. Under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Wågberg, I mainly focus on the design and preparation of structure-controllable nanocatalysts with low cost and long-term stability for renewable power-supply system.
