Robin Sandström
My master thesis was performed at the Department of Physics (Umeå University) in this particular group which introduced me to the field of fuel cells and materials science in general, as well as providing a solid start for Ph.D. studies.
The thesis was a study of causes of performance degradation in Palladium based Direct Formic Acid Fuel Cells (DFAFCs) electrodes including two different support types. The work in my Ph.D. studies mainly focuses on carbon nanostructures for Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell applications including performance of alternative materials for anodes, cathodes and membranes.
