Dr. Xueen Jia
I'm devoting myself in nanobiotechnology and sustainable energy field. My current research is focus on developing microfluidics biomedical device for Alzheimer and Parkinson disease based on electrochemistry, raman and other techniques; I’m also involving in the projects of developing novel nanocatalysts for fuel cell, biofuel cell as well as solar water splitting based on carbon nanostructures including carbon nanotubes, graphene, helical carbon nanofibers, and their modified derivatives.
I
have been finished my PhD for developing biosenors under the
supervision of Prof. Shouzhuo Yao and Prof. Qingji Xie from hunan
normal university China in 2009; Then I moved to Sweden and start my
postdoc carrier under the supervision of Prof. Ludmilla
Morozova-Roche, Department of medical biochemistry and biophysics,
working on the production and application of metallic nanowires based
on amyloid fibrils, development of electrochemical biosensors, the
mechanism of formation and inhibition of amyloid protein ascribe to
Alzheimer and Parkinson disease; From 2011, I joined Prof. Thomas
Wågberg’s group, Department of Physics, Umeå University, as a
postdoc research associate I was working on the production and
application of carbon based nanomaterials on biosensing, oxygen
reduction reaction of nitrogen doped carbon nanotubes, SERS based
biosening platform, development of biofuel and fuel cell by using
precious metal nanoparticle.
