In this occasion, we share a project carried out by Joakim Bergbom as a part of his Master Degree in Advanced Product Design at Umeå Institute of Design. Joakim designed SOUS, the worlds first dielectric slow cooker for blind users, and we had the opportunity to test some of his ideas in the lab with fantastic results. #TheUnseenChef by Joakim Bergbom Joakim's project was an exploration of how designing for blind users affect the design process. Through observations and interviews with blind users as well as professional chefs, Joakim designed SOUS as the worlds first dielectric slow cooker. SOUS helps blind users by cooking perfect food without the risk of under cooking. The more time you give it, the better result you will get.
